Gray, Gray, Gray! Everywhere we go is always cold and cloudy and usually wet...but still fun!Last week we were in Amsterdam and toured many housing districts of the city. It wasn't until recently that the dutch laws were changed allowing individual clients and owners to hire a personal architect. The result is pictured above. It is a hodge podge, a case in which each architect was given one slim facade, an eight meter wide canvas. On the one hand, it makes for very individualistic expression, but on the other hand I wonder what is the point. Does your house need to match your limegreen car?
I am much more intrigued by what is parked across the street. (My future house) An old and out of commission tug boat renovated into a living space.
